IPSWICH RAILWAY SUB BRANCH RSL ANZAC DAY 25th April

The Sub Branch hold an Anzac Day commemoration at the Ipswich Workshops Museum, North St. North Ipswich, with a march down Delacy St. commencing at 7.20am. Then a service at the Honour Stone at 7.30am. This is followed by a smoko.

Over the years we have had an ANZAC Day march and ceremony at the Honour Stone at The Railway Workshops ( Now the Rail Museum).
After the ceremony we enjoy a Sub-Branch Smoko with catering done by the North Ipswich Scouts.
Some years ago the Smoko was held in the Railway Institute Hall, this had historic connections with the sub branch members as many were members of the Institute because they were railway employees.
The members then adjourn to Club Services Ipswich for breakfast.

Our ANZAC Day parades at the Honour Stone have had only a few Marshals, including Mr. Les Brown and Mr. Trevor Grewar and Bob Green. However this role has now been taken over by Ian Dainer.
